Dr.
FARROW
In Dr. Farrow's office we have made a number of changes as well. First we want to let you know that we are still very much open for business. Our office hours and locations have changed slightly to minimize the risk of exposure to our staff. Dr. Farrow now sees patients at the Memorial City Office Monday, Tuesday, and Friday. We hope to be back in the Katy office by the end of April.
Secondly we are offering several options to our patients to minimize their exposure to the coronavirus. Most follow-up appointments and post-operative visits can be done by telemedicine from the comfort of your home. In person appointments are still available but we encourage you to use the "your car is your waiting room" option where our staff will contact you by mobile phone so that when you are ready to be seen you will be taken straight into the exam room without waiting with other patients in the waiting area. More details can be provided by calling our office or please ask about these options when making an appointment to see Dr. Farrow. Lastly, Texas Govenor Greg Abbott has issued an executive order postponing any elective surgeries until at least April 21st. The goal behind this order is to preserve supplies, equipment and capacity for potential COVID-19 patients in the coming weeks. This means that most hernia repairs, some gallbladder surgeries, and all lipoma/cyst operations are going to be postponed until at least April 21st. If your symptoms are worsening for any reason however, please contact Dr. Farrow's office so that we can assess whether the surgery needs to be done sooner than April 21st. We are still doing urgent and emergent surgeries for conditions that are likely to worsen within the next few weeks.
Thank you for your patience and understanding with all of the changes we are experiencing. Please try to think as much of your neighbor, as yourself during these trying times. We will all get through this together and will be stronger and more resilient as a result. We hope to see you soon.
